Agitator mill used

The agitator mill is a special form of a ball mill. Agitator mills consist of a vertical or horizontal vessel, usually cylindrical, which is usually made of steel, glass or wear-resistant ceramic materials. Agitators with elements such as rods, discs or smooth walls guarantee intensive movement of the grinding media.

The grinding material slurry is continuously pumped through the grinding chamber. Suspended solids are crushed or dispersed by impact and shear forces between the grinding media. At the outlet of the mill, the ground material and the grinding media are separated by a suitable separation system.
