Explosion Isolation Flap Valve used / D-1164

This NOVEx Explosion Isolation Flap Valve used remains open during normal flow. In the event of an explosion, the resulting overpressure closes the valve and prevents the spread of the explosion to the rest of the plant. The NOVEx valve is built and designed for a maximum reduced explosion overpressure of 2 barg DN 500 valve and 1 barg DN 500 valve measured in the tank where the explosion occurs.

Diameter of this explosion isolation flap valve used is 710 mm and the mounting distance is 5 - 13 m. The installation is horizontal. It has a dust explosion class for organic and metallic dust up to St3 - Kst 440.

The explosion damper has an ATEX certification according to EN 16447:2014 LOM11ATEX7047X/2 and NFPA 69. The check valve is sold with 4 x Kidde extinguishers: diameter 22 cm. The explosion isolation flap valve was only used for spare parts storage for a foreign project and was therefore never in use.
